ctbqrxnwiaabkcvAs I type, I have to confess that following yesterday evenings on-track fun & games, this morning I’m feeling some aches and pains! I may no longer be wearing my race suit, or gloves, or helmet, but I still have the sense that my inner-annual-racer has been unleashed!!

Huge thanks, and credit, must be given to the companies / drivers involved in making the evening a success. Whilst the racing was at times fiercely competitive, and there were a few accidents and incidents, as far as I know there were no injuries. I did see plenty of excited and smiley faces during the night, and all of this was (of course) arranged to contribute to a greater good.

The Jessie May Trust is an extraordinary local charity, serving Bristol and surrounding counties, that provides a ‘Hospice at Home’ for children and families. Services that the nurses provide include:

  • Respite Care
  • Nursing Care
  • End of Life Care
  • Bereavement Support for up to 5 years following a child’s death
  • Practical, emotional and Telephone support
  • Social and Support Events

At Moving Experience our mission is to help clients to create, and protect, the environments that they want for themselves and their families. By arranging mortgage finance, we help people who want to buy homes, extend and renovate homes, and regularly review requirements to help ensure that products and providers are the most suited to needs. We also recommend and organise protection policies that assist, and provide financial support, in the event of death, serious illness, and / or long term incapacity. I know that I sleep more soundly knowing that I have this cover in place, and clients have told me that they feel the same.

What we are unable to do, and what Jessie May nurses do very well, is to provide practical hands on help and support for the children that they work with, and for their families too. That’s why we began working with, and raising money for, the Jessie May Trust around 2 years ago.

Finally, I am delighted and proud to be able to announce that the event yesterday evening has raised in excess of £1,650 for Jessie May. This is money that I know will make a real difference for the charity and the children in their care.

Thanks to the TeamSport Indoor Karting in Bristol for hosting, and to the other teams who took part.image2
